Ecovalue is initiating  consultancy in the area of bioethanol based on sugar cane, with a differenciated service to find and create value in the value chain.

This chain is characterized, on one hand, by the very high capacity of sugar cane to capture solar energy and, on the other, by the technology which transforms sugar cane in bioethanol, sugar, thermal and electrical energy, as well as carbon credits.

Starting from solar energy, EcoValue developed a concept  for the analysis of the value chain based on the following perspectives:
» sunlight incidence per hectare and the energy effectively  absorbed by the plant,
» the portion of the absorbed energy which is transformed into sales and,
» identification of the opportunities to add value by improving the yield with ralation to space and time (e.g. per hectare, per  m3 of ethanol etc)

Ecovalue also developed a technique which identifies, quickly, the potential for improvements in the value chain and enables elaboration of an optimization plan for existing units, in an integrated manner. For green field projects we have a model which helps to reduce investment, as well as operational and financial costs.
